BIOS on the Asus EB1006-B-111-5002 EEE Box Nettop

I can't seem to get into the BIOS setup on the Asus EB1006-B-111-5002 EEE Box Nettop. The instruction manual has the following statement:

"To enter the BIOS setup, press <F2> repeatedly during bootup."

But no matter how many times or how quickly I press <F2>, BIOS setup never showed up. (I tried this with the included wireless keyboard and mouse.)

On the other hand, the computer recognizes <F8> just fine. <F8> allows you to select your boot device.

That's fortunate, because the Asus EB1006-B-111-5002 EEE Box Nettop defaults to booting from the hard drive. Therefore, if you want to boot off a flash drive, you'll have to use the <F8> key. I had wanted to enter the BIOS setup to change the default boot order. But it just won't work. Anyone has better luck?

I struggled with the same issue. By accident I found out that on EB1006 you have to press DEL to get into the BIOS.

On my EB1012 you have to press F2.

Hope this helps someone.

Thanks for the tip, Marcopolo. It has already helped me. I'm sure it will be helpful to many folks.

That really helped. I was trying to figure out how to get to the BIOS for like 30 minutes before I gave up and Googled it. Thank you.
