Acer Travelmate 331T

Just acquired an Acer Travelmate 331T and can't see where to turn it on. I do see the little Green led light up on the right of the screen. Also I notice the small button by the right hinge is in the down (maybe jammed) position. I will be trying to lift that up tomorrow when I get back to my home workshop.
Is that all that is needed to start this laptop? Most ones I have had have an On/Off switch but not this one.
Any help please?
Cheers
Kaye

It's not a button. It's a slider switch. It's on the right side at the back of the laptop. There is a power symbol right next to it. Do you see it?

Yes thanks, found ok. I also have a bad bios battery and tried to take the bottom off the computer. It all came undone except for one point in the middle, under the label and just couldn't see how to release it. So put it all back together again. Never ever had luck pulling Laptops to bits without breaking everything. They are just so impossible to work on. Will just put up with the fact that the time and date won't stay and I have to push F1 to get it to start. Do you know what would be holding the cover from coming off??

I have never taken it apart before. But I suspect maybe that the keyboard has to come off first. Most notebooks requires that as part of the disassembly process.

TNX for that tip about removing the keyboard. Will try again or just put up with the flat bios battery
