UltraVNC Viewer "Server:port" Configuration

Connecting to multiple servers using the UltraVNC Viewer, there are many times I fat-finger a server name. And UltraVNC Viewer would remember that in the history, never clearing it out. Worse, if I type in a password in there, it's on the record forever.

Luckily, I figured out where the server list is stored. And it's a text file that is easily editable. The list is stored in the "options.vnc" file that is located in the UltraVNC directory. The path is typically:

C:\Program Files\uvnc bvba\UltraVNC\options.vnc

Title: TightVNC Viewer "Server:port" Configuration
Weblog: GearHack
Excerpt: When connecting to multiple servers using TightVNC Viewer, it's easy to mistype a server name or portespecially when you're in a rush or juggling multiple remote sessions. And just like UltraVNC, TightVNC remembers every entry you make. That includes typos, outdated addresses, and yes, even passwor . . .
