Strange Access Denied Problem on Windows XPI hit a weird access denied problem in Windows XP tonight while backing up files from one NTFS hard drive to another. During the process, random files would report access denied. I basically can't do anything with the file. No copying. No deleting. No renaming. The following is an example on the "OutputRecipes.sh" file. Error Copying File or Folder I know that the destination drive is not full, because I had just formatted it. And it is the same size as the source drive. It is also not write protected, because other files copies just fine. Anyone seen this weird phenomenon before? I am really baffled at what could cause this problem. Chieh Cheng Well, I got another one of these with regard to a directory on my photo storage drive. And I just can't have that. My photos are too precious. After digging around, I found that somehow Windows has reassigned those files/directories to other owners.
