Turning a Linspire PC into a Windows XP PCFry's Electronic is selling a GQ 3121 AMD Sempron Processor Internet Ready Multimedia PC for $149.99. That's an awefully good price for an AMD Sempron XP 2200+ processor, 128 MB DDR memory, 40 GB hard, 52x CD-ROM, 100BaseTx Ethernet, 56K modem, USB ports, and Linspire 4.5 operating system. The only catch is that I need another Windows XP computer, not another Linux computer (Linspire is a Linux varient). So, I want to purchase this computer and install Windows XP on it. Is this possible? My intuition says, "yes." But I'm wondering if there is something I don't know about. Wouldn't everyone buy this computer for a hundred fifty bucks and put Windows on it? Chieh Cheng It is VERY possible. I have one set up in my computer room right now running Windows XP. I did add more memory to it and a $40 graphics card. Bill Lockhart
