Two Versions of Lenovo 45N0058 AC AdapterI just got myself a brand new Lenovo Y50-70. It's a pretty awesome gaming laptop, because it has an Intel i7-4710HQ processor, a 4 GB GTX 860M graphics card, and 16 GB of RAM. Now it's time for me to purchase extra power supplies for convenience--one in the bag, one for my desk, and one in my office. Being a gaming notebook computer, it's power supply is pretty hefty. Unlike other notebook AC adapters, the Lenovo 45N0058 power supply has a rectangular tip, rather than a round tip. The AC adapter's specs are: Input: 100-240V 2A 50-60Hz Searching for the "45N0058" model number yields tons results. In fact, Amazon shows that this power supply is as low as $17.99 + $5.99 shipping. The problem is that every photo shows a round tip (see photo below). Examining the photo, you will see that the specs are identical, but the actual model number of that third-party power supply is "45N0059". Almost every Amazon page for that power supply claims compatibility with the "45N0058". See here: I managed to find several Lenovo rectangular tip adapters. Just not sure which one is compatible with the power supply and the laptop.
Not sure if I want to take the gamble with this power supply and a tip adapter yet. Anyone found a good Lenovo Y50 power adapter substitute? Jake After doing some more digging, I found that the 45N0059's "Plug Tip Size" is 7.9mm x 5.5mm. So it seems like the right tip adapter is this one: Jake
