Replacing the Hard Drive on the Acer TravelMate 331TIt's an older computer, but with Windows XP, it still runs quite gracefully. Least you can do is turn it into a remote terminal. The Acer TravelMate 331T comes with a 6 GB hard drive that is hardly enough for today's applications. Luckily it is really easy to pull it out of the computer and swap it with a different drive. The hard drive bracket that came with the computer is designed for the 6GB hard drive that came with the computer. It will not fit many other 2.5" hard drive. But you can make a really simple modification to the bracket to make it work with any 2.5" hard drive. Simply cut away the little tab that prevent another 2.5" hard drive from being inserted into the bracket. The following is a photo of the plastic bracket. In the phot, the little pertruding tab next to the round hole is the blocker. Simply cut that off and it will work. Chieh Cheng
