Asus G46VW Memory UpgradeThe Asus G46VW gaming ultrabook has one easy to access memory bay on the bottom of the laptop. It is secured by a miniature screw under a plastic tab. You'll need two precision screwdrivers, one flat-head and one Phillip screwdriver. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry the plastic tab up and reveal the screw underneath. Use the Phillip screwdriver to unscrew the screw. After removing the screw, use the flat-head screwdriver to pry the insertion points next to the screw hole. It's not terribly easy to pry the panel up, so use some force. Once you removed the plastic panel, you'll discover two memory chips (see photo below) in two bays. The specs for the memory chips are: Hynix 4GB 2Rx8 PC3-12800S-11-11-F3 This laptops allows 16 GB of maximum RAM, which means you'll need two 8 GB memory sticks. RAM's that would work on this computer is listed in the "Related Links" section below. Jake
