do you know anything about desktop extender for the Mac?

Spaces is good for multiple desktops. But it can't create one BIG virtual desktop.

For example, I may want to have say a 1600x1200 desktop. And that's the resolution reported to all of the applications. My 1024x600 netbook screen would only show a portion of it at a time. I can scroll around by moving the mouse pointer to the edge of the screen.
