No ksh Nor csh Installed on OLPC XO

Continuing my quest of remote management of my daughter's OLPC XO, I started to create automated cron jobs. I have already developed a set of scripts for performing different tasks. And many of them are carried over from the ancient UNIX days. So I have shell scripts, csh scripts, ksh scripts, and the more recent bash scripts. When I set-up the cron jobs, I realized that csh and ksh are not installed on the OLPC XO. I understand that there is a growing trend of moving to bash. After all, bash does everything ksh does and more. And I'm all on-board with that. But it's too time-consuming to convert my massive script library over to bash now. I need to install csh and ksh on OLPC XO.

This seems to be another topic that is missing from the Internet. I have yet to find any article even remotely related to what I am looking for. When I figure it out, I will update this thread with that knowledge.

Well, I found a simple solution for now. It's a solution that will work for some folks but not everyone. Because OLPC XO's operating system is basically Linux i386, I simply copied "csh" and "ksh" off my Ubuntu 8.04 laptop and put them onto the OLPC XO. They worked just fine. So I'm happy. But this trick only works for those of you that already have another Linux i386 distribution installed.
