Sony Clie PEG-SL10/U Battery Saving Trick

I love my little Sony Clie PEG-SL10/U Palm PDA, because it uses two little AAA batteries. The pair batteries lasts quite a while. But you can extend their life even longer if you periodically switch them with another pair. This trick plays on the fact that alkaline batteries naturally recharges themselves a little bit when they are not in use overnight.

So I typically carry one or two extra sets of alkaline batteries. After using one set extensively, I swap them out and let them rest over night. After using the fresh set extensively, I swap back the rested ones. This could continues for days or weeks before the two sets have to be retired.
