Two Ways to Start Steam on BootThere are two different ways to start Steam on boot. The first way is, obviously, to let Steam start itself. You can do that by going to "Steam" -> "Settings" -> "Interface" and enable "Run Steam when my computer starts". This starts Steam in the Windows system tray icon. But it doesn't display its interface. Therefore, it's not my preferred method. I prefer Steam to start up in small mode in a corner on my screen. In addition, I like to have the "Friends" list open next to it. This happens if I manually start Steam from the Start menu, but not when I enable "Run Steam when my computer starts". That brings us to the other way to start Steam on boot. The other way is to drag the "Steam" start menu icon into the Windows Startup folder. The Startup folder is also in the Start menu. Once Steam is in the Startup folder, it will automatically launch whenever you log in. And Steam will start up in the same condition that you stopped it. Fido
