Sony PlayStation 3 DualShock 3 Controller on PC via USBI just got a Sony PS3 DualShock 3 Wireless controller. I wanted to use this controller on my Windows 7 laptop to fly vehicles in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. After plugging it into the computer via the USB port, Windows 7 recognized it immediately. It shows up under "Control Panels -> Devices and Printers" as "PS(R) Gamepad". If you right click on it and then select "Game controller settings -> PS(R) Gamepad -> Properties", you'll see that Windows 7 recognizes all four of its axis and all 19 buttons. But when you try to activate any axis or button, Windows 7 will not detect that they have been activated. I noticed that after plugging the Sony PS3 DS3 controller into the PC via USB, the 1234 LEDS next to the USB connector starts flashing like mad . . . well . . . about twice a second. I'm not sure what that means. Chieh Cheng
