PlanetSide 2: Engineer Loadout Screen

In the loadout screen, it's not entire clear what the blank slots are for if you haven't spent any certification points on the upgrades. In fact, during the beta test, I tried unlocking both shield regeneration, flak armor, and nano health. But I didn't realized that all of these upgrades goes into the "SUIT" slot and you can only equip one of them at a time.

The attached screenshot below shows the various slots clearly: MELEE, ABILITY, SUIT, GRENADE, and UTILITY. The best advice is to upgrade one ability per slot all the way, since you can only use one at a time.
