Neverwinter Nights will not install using a backup CDNeverwinter Nights is my long time favorite. So when I reinstalled my game machine, I reinstalled Neverwinter Nights as well. Neverwinter Nights have 3 installation CD's. The "Play Disc" is copy-protected. With the more recent patch version, you can actually start the game with a copied "Play Disc". In order to preserve the original game CD's, I've made a copy of the "Play Disc" that I use to play the game. That way, when I switch between games, I don't mind leaving the copied "Play Disc" on the desk and risk scratches. When I reinstalled Neverwinter Nights, I forgot that the original "Play Disc" was copy-protected. So I started the installation process using the original CD's. At the end of installation, when the installer asked me to insert the "Play Disc", I put the copied "Play Disc" in the drive. The copied "Play Disc" caused the installation to fail. Lesson learned, use the original discs to complete the entire installation process. Upgrade to the latest patch (currently version 1.66). Then play the game using the copied "Play Disc". Chieh Cheng
