NWN 2 Invalid CD Key Problem SolvedAbout two hours ago, I encountered the invalid CD key message when I tried to install Neverwinter Night 2 on my Windows Vista computer. I have never had this problem before. And it's not the first time I installed NWN2 on Vista. It had worked fine before. I checked and double-checked the CD key to make sure each and every character matches the one shown in the manual. I even re-inserted the DVD and restarted the installation process three times! It's crazy, because I've just installed this game on the same machine on Windows 7 just two days ago. Due to other problems I had with Windows 7, I decided to down-grade back to Windows Vista and it's impossible that the game won't install now. Finally, my intuition tells me that perhaps it is because I am trying to install over the previous installation. I deleted the "Atari" directory, which contains the "Neverwinter Nights 2" directory, under "Program Files". And sure enough, the installation program no longer tells me I have an invalid CD key.
