Worth of Diablo 3 LootBefore looking at Diablo 3's real money auction house in detail, I had thought in-game items will hover around $1 range, much like mobile app store and penny arcade games. But after looking at the Diablo 3 fee structure, I've changed my mind. Based on the "Diablo 3 Auction House FAQ and Information", Blizzard charges $1 for equipment (swords, armor, shield, bow, etc.). That means you'd make no profit selling a sword for $1. In fact, to make 70% on the dollar, much like mobile app stores are doing, you'd have to sell a sword for $3, due to the additional 15% transfer fee to PayPal. The maximum real money an item can sell for is $250. Analyzing these details in my head, before the real money auction house comes life, I'm guessing that the average equipment is going to go between $3 and $15. Fido
