How Quickly Can You Recover Diablo 3's Entry Fee?

As soon as there are talk about Diablo 3 real money auction house (RMAH), you can pretty much guarantee people will be thinking about how quickly to make back the $60 they spent buying the game. The real money auction house (RMAH) hasn't been released yet. But having just written the "Worth of Diablo 3 Loot" article, I'm guessing that you can make the money back pretty quickly. Why do I think that?

Well, in that article, I claim the average cost of an equipment will be sold in the range of $3 to $15. If that's true, in worse case, you will have to sell 30 items before recovering the cost of the game (after fees). In best case, you just have to sell 5 items to recover your cost.

Is this a good trade-off? It's not bad if you enjoy playing third-person, isometric, fantasy games.
