Left 4 Dead Silent Hill Campaign Maps and Walk-ThroughRecently, I've downloaded the Silent Hill Campaign for Left 4 Dead. Unlike the regular Left 4 Dead campaigns where you run through a single path to the safe house, Silent Hill Campaign is like a big puzzle, where you have to find your way around. And not to mention fending off the horde of zombies while you are at it. The campaign is a neat change of pace from the typical Left 4 Dead campaign. If you have played the actual Silent Hill game before, you might feel right at home. But for someone who have never played Silent Hill before, it took me a while to realize that there are maps to give you hints through out the campaign. The first map (attached below) is next to your starting location. If you don't look around, it's easy to miss. Chieh Cheng There are three interesting markings on this map: 1) a convenience store; 2) Cafe 5 to 2; 3) a house with an arrow pointing to it. Note that the streets are labeled quite differently than the real world. When you see street signs, the signs are actually perpendicular to the actual street. In the real world, the street signs are parallel to the street. Once you understand that it's relatively easy to follow the map. There is a second hand gun at the convenience store that you can pick up. With the second handgun, you'll be able to move through the start of the map a lot quicker and keep your health up. The Cafe 5 to 2 also has the second handgun and a health pack. But when you pick up the health pack, it triggers the horde. So if you are high on health, you might consider leaving this health pack here for future use. The house is your goal. Once you reached the house, you'll see the second map (attached below). It's not much different from the first map. Chieh Cheng The door is locked at the house. But you can find the key to open the door in the dog house right out front. Poor dog is dead. If you have lost a team mate, the house is the first chance you will get to rescue a survivor to join your team. I was relieved to recover Bill here. There is a health kit in the house. Look for it and use it on yourself or your team member. Inside the kitchen is the third map (shown below). Chieh Cheng Not sure what "Eclipse" means. But the three markings on that map indicates where you can find three keys. The three keys will open the locks on the door to the right in the screen shot above. One of the key is in the alley between Bachman and Ellroy. There is an ammo box on the ground. The key is in the same area. There is a shed with a door. If you lost a team member, he/she will likely show up there. The next key is by the arrow, behind the police car at the end of the road. The circle marking is somewhat misleading. As the third key is not exactly at the circle. Instead, you have to get to the end of the road there, then go toward the right. There is a plank. Go over the plank to the front door of a house. The key is in the mailbox next to the front door. Once you have the three keys, head back to the house and you'll find the safe house behind the previously locked door. Also, if you haven't visited the alley between Levin Street and Bachman Road, you might consider doing that. You'll find sub-machine guns there, a health pack, and a hint to go to the school. Chieh Cheng The goal of the next scene in the campaign is to reach the Midwich Elementary School. You exit the backyard of the house into an alley. You can turn left to go south or turn right to go north. If you turn left to go south, you will find the next map on the corner of the alley and the street. That's where you will also trigger the horde. And you'll see from the screen shot of the map below, blood will splatter. And blood will likely splatter all over the map. Fortunately, in the screen shot below, the blood only covered the non-essential portion of the map. The tank does show up in this scene. And I've heard the witch cry as well. Chieh Cheng Sure wish I could see the whole document! shuzzy Haha. So do I. I haven't finished playing it. If you gotten further than I did, feel free to add your walk-through materials to this document. Chieh Cheng Note in the previous map that the alley way you start in goes both ways (north and south). Going south triggers the horde. And my experience is that taking the alley way all the way down to Block St. is a lot harder than going down Midwich St. I advise taking the north route on the alley way and circle around to Midwich St. from Finney St. It's a longer walk, but seems to be easier than going through the alleys. Chieh Cheng Crap - I'm in the school, in the alt realm below. And We are frikking lost. I've found a rubber ball and it sounds like all sorts of zombie hell is on the other side of the door. DisgruntledGirl Ok it was a glitch. We all died, reloaded and it went like the clock work. Get out of the tower, get the rubber ball in the room with the gurneys. Get the correct door from the room that has a table with little doors. Put that door on the door with all sort of zombie hell on the other side and it opens. DisgruntledGirl Maybe the person who made this campaign should have put more maps throughout the whole campaign- I've played this Silent Hill before and I am still getting lost. It's kind of frustrating- it should be more Left 4 Dead oriented. Not impressed at all. Really boring. Andy after you open the door with the mini door in the underground part of the school (3rd mission) there is a shotgun in the second room in front of you. there is also ammo right next to the shot gun. go through the rooms and u will see a telephone (im not sure if you have to pick it up or not). get the rubber ball, and then go all the way up stairs. this puts you on the roof, then go all the way to the back corner, and put the rubber ball in the hole and turn the little wheel where the water tank is. the water flows down the pipe and a key pops out of the pipe right outside the building. the key opens the locked pathway on the second floor. after that i wasnt able to do anything, i think i got glitched Ezra i meant the alternate school world or whatever, it just looked underground to me :P Ezra ok, in the room with a bunch of lockers, you should be able to open one of the square lockers, after that a horde will come and one of the rectangular lockers opens up and a key pops out. thats the last key you need. then keep going down stairs and down the narrow trail, at this point you are going to have to fight a tank and once you egt inside you might have to fight another tank (i had to, and i also had a witch that was impossible to go around, so i was fucked) after ur in that room with the spinning spikes just keep going forward, the safe room is right there. Ezra to actually see what im talking about you can watch this youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAcijjHkRQI&feature=related (ignore all of their screaming, they dont seem to play alot of scary games) Ezra Thanks, this was really helpful Marie
