League of Legends Doesn't Work with Pointer Trails

My League of Legends mouse pointer disappeared earlier tonight during the start of a Dominion game. I was in a panic, because I didn't want to let the team down by sitting at the base doing nothing. But I couldn't solve it in time.

It turned out that I had changed the mouse pointer earlier to "extra large" and enabled "Disable pointer trails". These were features that helped in the "Realm of the Mad God" arcade MMORPG that I played tonight.

Apparently the pointer trails make the mouse pointer disappear in League of Legends (LOL). If you lose a mouse pointer in LOL as well, be sure to uncheck "display pointer trails".
