League of Legends: Custom Screen ResolutionIt all started when I swapped out my VGA cable for another one. Afterward, League of Legends (LOL) won't recognize my 1920x1080 display. It keeps resetting my display to 1024x768 (perhaps because that's the resolution of my second LCD monitor), a horrible resolution for my wide-screen monitor. In game, 1920x1080 just doesn't up as one of the selectable options. Finally, I figured out a way to force LOL to use a resolution I specify. The following will walk through it. Create a custom game all by yourself. After loading into the game, bring up video settings. Change "Windowed Mode" to "Borderless". Don't bother with the "Resolution" setting; it won't have the mode you want (if you are here reading this thread). Select "End Game" from the menu. Now, here is the trickier part. Open up Windows Explorer and navigate to "C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\Config". You will see "Game.cfg". Open up "Notepad" and drag "Game.cfg" into "Notepad". Find the following two lines in that file: Width=1024 You might see some other values there. But change these two values to whatever custom resolution you like. In my case, I set it to 1920x1080. After you've made the change, save the file and close "Notepad". Now, start a LOL game. You'll get the custom resolution you specified. If you visit the video setting screen, "Resolution" will say "undefined", because it is running at the resolution you forced it to. Fido
