Dawn of War - Platinum Edition Invalid Key Bug

I've recently bought Dawn of War - Platinum Edition, which includes the original Dawn of War, the Winter Assault Expansion, and the Dark Crusade Expansion. I've been merrily playing with all three versions for a while. But recently, after going online with the basic Dawn of War game, Dark Crusade will no longer accept the Dawn of War key. It just reports that "The CD key you entered appears to be invalid. Please check it and try again." (See screen shot below).

The only way to get the game to accept the key again is to completely uninstall all DoW games and re-install them. It's a real pain. So, my advice, don't go online with your Dawn of War. Play online games using LAN (with Hamachi, etc.).

You will know if you are getting screwed when you start Dawn of War and see the following painful configuration screen, with the message, "Please wait while Windows configures Warhammer 40,000: Dawn Of War - Platinum Edition".

You gotta delete everything . . . including deleting the THQ directory under "Program Files". I know, because I forgot to do that just now and have to re-start the un-installation process. Might want to copy your saved games and stuff under the "Profiles" directory though.

How do I know a full clean install will work? I done it once before on my "late" hard drive; it died.

At this time, I believe this problem is not caused by going online with the Dawn of War game. Rather is the attempt to skipping the intro by moving the movie files (see "Dawn of War: Skipping the Intro"). Dawn of War and Winter Assault thinks that the game is broken, so it tries to reinstall itself; breaking the CD key in the process. Dark Crusade does not exhibit this problem when you move the intro movie files away.

Excerpt: I have the same problem, but its with Soulstorm. Soulstorm will not accept the CD keys of DoW or Dark Crusade. Do i need to Reinstall all of th games?
