Wide-Screen Resolution with Battlefield 2Recently upgraded to a Envision 22" Wide-Screen LCD monitor, so I wanted to try Battlefield 2 with it. But in the video options, I found that Battlefield 2 doesn't support the 1680x1050 resolution. Everything looked weird on the screen. But maybe one of the resolution matches the aspect ratio. 1680 / 1050 = 1.6 The resolution the Battlefield 2 supports are: 800x600 = 800 / 600 = 1.33 Wow! Battlefield 2 provides a lot of resolutions to choose from. But all of them are virtually the same aspect ratio. That's kinda useless. Well, I found out that you can add the "+szx 1680 +szy 1050" parameters to the Battlefield 2 short cut to get 1680x1050 resolution. I tried it and it seems to work fine. But it's going to take a bit more processing power to run at that resolution than at a lesser resolution. Chieh Cheng This worked for Battlefield 2142 as well. And I was able to get the resolution up to 1920x1080. Mel
