Taking Screenshots of the Loading ScreenIn any of the Battlefield games, you can take a screen shot simply by pressing the PRINT SCREEN key. Unfortunately, this key does not let you screen capture the menu and the loading screen. It only lets you take screen shots when you are in the map. Here is a work-around so that you can take a screen shot in any part of the game. First, get a copy of Gimp. You can obtain Gimp at its official web site. See "Related Links" below. Gimp is available for UNIX, Windows, and Mac OS X. But since you are playing Battlefield 1942, 2, and/or 2142, you will need the Windows version of Gimp. First, start Gimp and start your Battlefield game. At the screen you want to capture, minimize the game by pressing ALT-TAB. Go to the "File" menu in Gimp and select "Acquire" -> "Screen Shot ...". With Gimp's WinSnap dialog on the screen, choose "Grab the whole screen" and set "after 10 Seconds delay" as shown in the photo below. Click on the "Grab" button in the dialog. Restore the minimized Battlefield from the Windows TaskBar. After 10 seconds, the screen will be captured. Attached Image: Chieh Cheng
