Battlefield: Bad Company 2 DirectX 9 StrangenessOne well know trick to maximize performance in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is to change "DxVersion" from "auto" to "9". (This setting is in "My Documents/BFBC2/settings.ini".) I tried that tonight, hoping to see some massive improvement. But, instead, the game ran exhibited some strange symptoms: 1. Alt-Tab doesn't put the game in a window, unlike the "auto" setting. It minimizes the game. 2. Alt-Enter puts the game in a window, but returning to the game takes a long time; sits at a black screen. 3. The performance doesn't seem that much better than the "auto" settings. I have a quad-core laptop with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 and 4 GB of RAM. 4. At some point in the "Heavy Metal" map, the game hung. I lost all my points. This occurrence caused me to give up on DirectX 9 setting and go back to "auto". Chieh Cheng
