Airsoft vs. Battlefield 4Ever since I started playing airsoft in the summer time, I have been obsessively comparing it to every FPS I play. For those of you that don't know airsoft, it's a sport where you use life-like firearms that shoots plastic BB's. Because the gun are so realistic compared to the real firearm, the tactics and game play translates well into the real world. When Battlefield 4 (BF4) went on sale two weeks ago for $30, I picked up a copy. I had every Battlefield game and I had been patiently waiting for BF4 to go on sale. It was suppose to be the most realistic and best of all BF franchise. It was true. It even brought back the destruction that made it famous in BF: Bad Company 2. But how does it stack up to airsoft? I can tell you that it is almost an virtual airsoft battle field with regards to its weapons and accessories. BF4 has the Ecotech holographic sight that is used by the U.S. military, which many airsoft player uses on their guns. For the Chinese guns, it has the same red dot sight as the Ultimate Arms Gear Tactical 4 Reticle Sight (JH400) that I use on my airsoft gun. Even more amazing, BF4 lets you unlock scope magnifiers that are very similar to the Avengers Tactical 3X Magnifier Scope that I use. And in BF4, you can flip it to the side, just like the real thing. I am very impressed with Battlefield 4 as an airsoft player. I don't feel handicapped at all in the game witn regards to its weapons and its accessories. So far, BF4 seems to be the most realistic modern combat game on the market. Jake
