ECS RS400-A Supports 2GB DDR2 DIMM'sThe ECS RS400-A motherboard supports both 184-pin DDR DIMM and 240-pin DDR2 DIMM. There are two sockets for each type. Based on the specification, it says each slot could handle up to 1 GB of RAM. But today, I put in a Kingston 2 GB DDR2 PC2-5300 667 MHz DIMM into slot 0 and the computer boots into Windows with 2 GB of RAM. So now the question is, does the mother board support up to 4 GB of RAM or is it limited to 2 GB of RAM total? Chieh Cheng Well, apparently, the motherboard would not address more than 2 GB of RAM. I tried the Kingston 2 GB DDR2 PC2-5300 667 MHz DIMM along with my PQI 1GB PC2-5400 Single Channel DDR2 DIMM, but the computer would not boot. After replacing the Kingston 2 GB DDR2 PC2-5300 667 MHz DIMM with a PNY Optima 1 GB DDR2 PC2-5300 DIMM stick, the computer booted up fine with 2GB of RAM. So the Kingston stick went back to the store. Chieh Cheng
