Bleeding the Brakes - Pitfall #1

A few days ago I replaced the brake pads on my car. In the process, I bled the brakes as well. But instead of bleeding the brakes first, I removed the brake pads first. Big mistake! Without the brake pads and brake rotor preventing the pistons from going anywhere, the piston popped straight out of the caliper. It took me quite a while to put it back in. I will never do that again.
