Getting Rid of Your Old Car BatterySeveral months ago, I walked into Kragens to see if they would take old car batteries. The associate there mentioned that they'd give me $3 store credits for each car battery. And he said be sure to get the store credit, because some of the associates will not give it to you. Yesterday, I finally decided to bring one of my old car batteries into the store. But a different associates there said that ever since O'Reilly took over Kragens, they stopped giving the $3 store credits. I decided to let them take the old battery for free. But O'Reilly took them over 8 months ago (found out through yet another employee), while I talked to the other associate only a few months back. I should have kept the battery and tried other auto parts stores. But at least they'll take your old car batteries for free. What's your experience? Chieh Cheng
