Eibach Pro-Damper 4017.840 Top Lock Nut Spec

This past week, I've been wrestling with the top locking nut on the Eibach Pro-Damper for my 1995 Honda Civic EX Coupe. The nut was stripped and I managed to cut it off. But so far I am having trouble figuring out what size is the locking nut. The outer size is 17mm. But what's the thread spec?

I found some replacements at Home Depot. The top locking nut is 3/8"-16. The ones provide by Eibach fits 17mm wrench. But the ones from Home Depot fits 14mm wrench and is zinc plated.

Ok. It's NOT a 3/8"-16 lock nut. I brought some home but it doesn't screw on right. After talking with Eibach technical support, I found out it is a 10mm-1.25 lock nut. Time to go out to a hardware store again.

Neither Lowes nor Home Depot had l0mm-l.25 nylon lock nuts. l ended up buying a regular 10mm-1.25 metal hex nut and a 3/8" nylon hex nut. I think I will torque down the metal nut. Then screw on the nylon nut to act as a lock nut. Think it'll work?

Ok, I've done it. Here is a photo showing the 10mm-1.25 metal hex nut and the 3/8" nylon hex nut installed on top of the strut.
